Welcome to Year 4's class page!

Miss Myatt and Mrs Hewitt are the Year 4 teachers. Learning in Year 4 is supported by Miss Kettle. 

During the Summer term, we will be looking at a range of topics in our class.  

In Maths, we will be practising basic calculations in our arithmetic and continuing to learn and embed times tables up to 12. We will be learning about fractions, decimals, money and statics.

During Curriculum, we are learning studying the Geography of North America and becoming historians, studying the Ancient Greeks. We will also be studying a narrative unit based on the book The Firework Makers Daughter. In this unit we will be learning how to write a setting description and innovating the story. We will also be learning about a local heritage study.

PE  

Our PE day is Thursday. We will be going swimming every other Thursday. Please make sure that your child comes into school wearing a named kit, which included trainers, black shorts/bottoms and either a purple or yellow t-shirt. Long hair must be tied back and all earrings need to be removed before school or the lesson for PE sessions.
