Welcome to Year 4's class page!

Miss Myatt, Mrs Cooke and Mrs Hewitt are the Year 4 teachers. Learning in Year 4 is supported by Miss Kettle and Mr Critchley.

During the Autumn term, we will be looking at a range of topics in our class.  

In Maths, we will be practising basic calculations in our arithmetic and learning and embeding times tables up to 12. We will be learning about place value and number.

During Curriculum, we are learning studying mountains as part of our Geography topic. We will also be visiting Snowdon. 

In Science, we will be learning about Changing states, electricity and sound.

We will also be studying a narrative unit based on the book The Creakers by Tom Fletcher. In this unit we will be learning how to write a character description and innovating the story. 

PE

Our PE day is Friday. We will be going swimming every other Thursday. Please make sure that your child comes into school wearing a named kit, which included trainers, black shorts/bottoms and either a purple or yellow t-shirt. Long hair must be tied back and all earrings need to be removed before school or the lesson for PE sessions.
