Welcome to Year 4's class page!

Miss Myatt and Mrs Johnston are the Year 4 teachers. Learning in Year 4 is supported by Miss Osborne and Mr Critchley.

During the Spring term, we will be looking at a range of topics in our class.  

In Maths, we will be practising basic calculations in our arithmetic and learning and embedding times tables up to 12. We will be learning about all four operations, measurement, fractions and decimals.

During History, we will be learning about The Romans. We will look at why they invaded Britain and what legacy they have left behind. 

During Curriculum, we will be studying a narrative unit based on the book The Firework Makers Daughter by Phillip Pullman. In this unit we will be learning how to write a description and characterising speech between two characters. 

PE

Our PE day is Friday. Please make sure that your child comes into school wearing a named kit, which included trainers, black shorts/bottoms and either a purple or yellow t-shirt. Long hair must be tied back and all earrings need to be removed before school or the lesson for PE sessions.
