Welcome to Year 4's class page!

Miss Myatt and Mrs Hewitt are the Year 4 teachers. Learning in Year 4 is supported by Miss Kettle. 

During the Spring term, we will be looking at a range of topics in our class.  

In Maths, we will be practising basic calculations in our arithmetic and continuing to learn and embed times tables up to 12. We will be learning about shape, fractions and decimals.

During Curriculum, we are learning about Narrative and studying the book ‘The Tunnel’ by Anthony Browne. We will be learning about characterising speech and writing a story. We will also be learning about Sound as part of our Science unit. We will be learning about how sounds are made and how they travel to the ear. We will also learn about the pitch, volume and strength of vibration with sounds.

PE  

Our PE day is Tuesday. Please make sure that your child comes into school wearing a named kit, which included trainers, black shorts/bottoms and either a purple or yellow t-shirt. Long hair must be tied back and all earrings need to be removed before school or the lesson for PE sessions.
